This Thanksgiving marks the 10th annual Memorial Cardiac & Vascular Institute Fort Lauderdale Turkey Trot! Taking place Thursday, Nov. 25 at Las Olas Oceanside Park, the Fort Lauderdale Turkey Trot is the perfect way to break a sweat while also giving back to the community. This turkey trot has been a Broward County tradition over the past decade, attracting over 3,000 participants each year, including family, coworkers, friends, walkers, joggers, and runners.
The Fort Lauderdale Turkey Trot features a 5K run and walk race, and course runs along the scenic and beautiful A1A, the iconic beach road in Fort Lauderdale. You can enjoy the beautiful colors of the South Florida sunrise, as well as the ocean breeze, as you walk, jog, or run the course. Anyone, from beginners to elite participants, is welcome to participate in this 5K race, and Thanksgiving-themed costumes are heavily encouraged. Commemorative bib numbers, medals, and race shirts are available for the first 3,000 participants who sign up for the race.
